  1. 1 Timothy
2:11: Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
2:12: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
2:13: For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
2:14: And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
2:15: Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

  2. Goodness! I prefered what you had to say when you were correcting my spelling and grammar. I remember you with fondness and respect and I cannot square this with you propagating the idea of woman as calcutrix; manipulative, weak, morally bankrupt except in childbirth. This set of ideas has motivated the burning and stoning of women throughout human history and similar practices continue – justified in terms morally identical to Timothy’s – in many places around the world today. 3. Thanks for the reply Nic. I will stick to grammar if you prefer; no problem, and your reply gives me an idea of your stance, which I can then repsect.

Those stoners and burners did it with distorted reference to the Book/s, as they always do, and they are as evil as the next man.

But who has the nerve to challenge the Word. I could give you countless other references, but argument for the sake of argument is a futile thing.

Not to leave any readers high and dry I will provide a conceptual reference, which naturally can be rejected or accepted.

  4. Thanks for coming back. Please don’t just stick to grammar and spelling – although I do appreciate that – I welcome the fact that you choose to comment on this site. Keep well, Nic

  5. We come from far and still have a long way to go before before gender equity is attained across the board. Whether legislation is the way to go remains a matter of serious contestation.

  6. Thank you for your comment. Your comments to the heart of a potentially inflamatory issue, so I present this with care, and we can continue this privately if you wish.

Gender equity (basically women’s lib) is completely forbidden in the Bible, with fairly severe punishments (still to come for many), for those brave enough to flirt with the idea. A taste of the idea is here. http://www.jahtruth.net/fertil.htm

Secondly, the proven and tested way to break a country is to endlessly make new laws (that always punish the innocent more than the guilty), in direct contravention of God’s Law, which is in the Old Testament. The country invites the curses promised (http://www.jahtruth.net/blescur.htm )in The Law for those who make their own (human) laws and the people suffer the injustice that only human laws can deliver. Carefully explained here (http://www.jahtruth.net/plan.htm).

Deuteronomy 4:2: Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

    1. Throwing select verses from your Bible is of no help at all to issues raised in response to Nick`s post on Women`s Day. I`d rather go read my copy of the Bible than your bits and pieces.
How about if you were to put forward your views, instead of out of context bits from the Bible, on issues I rased and/or those raised by Nick!

  7. I really can’t claim to be wiser than the Bible or the web site writer, so we could just agree to differ on that.

But, on the other hand, these are not just random quotes. They are thoroughly researched by the website writer and they make sense to me.

But there again you are welcome to accept or reject.
